Kenny Chesney Concert

Well, Candace won another concert contest. This time it was for the KENNY CHESNEY concert. Her favorite. It was the second concert contest in a week that she won. First concert was the meet/greet with Blake Shelton (and she scared Blake and they both screamed).
We rode with Daniel and Tabetha to this concert. They already had their tickets (bought the Mega Ticket).

First it was Uncle Kracker on stage.
Then it was Billy Currington.
Then it was time for Kenny Chesney. We had such a good time. And no from our group got drunk.
Me and Daniel sat down some of the time, cause it was easier to see the performers. With everyone standing up you really couldn't see who was on stage, so we watched the big screens.

Really had a good time at this concert. Didn't find out until around 3:00pm that I was going. But I was ready to go. Parking opened at 4:00pm and the gates opened at 5:00pm. We also had to pick our tickets from the ticket office.

About a week ago Ashlynn came to stay a couple days with mamaw. It was a surprise for her, she had no idea that she was coming to stay. She had been out at Aunt Patsy's for a few days and then she came to mamaw's. We had such a good time and she was sooo good. We watched the CMA awards (she really likes Justin Beiber). We almost had to watch it twice. There was an oncore presentation after.

On Friday the 10th of June, WFMS had posted a drawing being held at the Elite Liquor Store in Cumberland. Well guess what, it's right down the street from me. So Ashlynn and I decided to walk down there and enter. We stopped by my friend Lu's house to see if she wanted to walk over there with us. Lu really didn't want to go, but she did. The drawing was for 6 lawn seat tickets and VIP passes to the Coors light Party Patio at Verizon, on June 18th, which was featuring Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Jerrod Neimann. After the drawing we went back to my house and Lu thought she had entered into a drawing for a party patio in her backyard. NOOOO!!! After awhile Lu gets a phone call and it's the Liquor store telling her she had WON the drawing and she could pick the tickets up anytime from the WFMS station. Talk about excited, yes we were. I got 2 tickets for me and Scott and her friend Tammy and her husband Mike 2 tickets and of course Lu took Richard.
Then Hank 97.1 was giving away tickets and you had to be the 9th caller. So at 10 minutes after every hour we were calling. This went on for a couple days. Candace finally got on her facebook page and had won WFMS facebook contest. She won 2 lawn seats and 2 meet and greet tickets, which just happen to be Blake Shelton.
Tabetha already had tickets, cause her and Daniel bought the Mega ticket package. But Daniel didn't want to go this time, so Tabetha took Abbey (a friend of hers).

First was Jerrod Neimann, who sings Lover Lover you don't treat me no good no more.

Then it was time for Blake Shelton. We had to run all the way from the bathrooms cause he was on stage and no one wanted to miss him. I just about peed my pants. When Candace and Tabetha went back stage to meet Blake Shelton, I guess he walked up behind them and came face to face with Candace. She screamed and scared Blake. Tabetha said after that Candace was balling her eyes out. How exciting to meet someone like that. The girls had to buy T-Shirts so he could sign them. Miranda Lambert was even in the show with Blake. It was his 35th birthday and she came to surprise him. She also sang a few songs with him, which was really nice. When he sang Hilly Billy Bone I had to run up to the party patio to dance with Lu. That is our favorite song. I was sitting in the lawn with the girls.

Then it was Brad Paisley time. He has some good songs, but we really weren't that interested in him. Stayed for maybe half his show.

We got out of the parking lot with no worries. Wasn't going to spend all night sitting in a parking lot waiting to get home. I do believe everyone had a good time. I know I did.

New Carpet

WooHoo!!! Got new carpet. Landlords called at 2:00pm on Sunday afternoon and told me that we were getting new carpet on Monday at 8:30am. I had to move all my furniture out of both rooms. I was so tired and frustrated at the end of the day. I have lived in this house for 21-22 years and this is the first time I've had anything new, especially carpet.

On Monday morning at 8:30am the guys were here. I was going to be very mad if they weren't here on time. Short notice, but I kicked butt and got it all moved. The guys putting down the carpet were nice and were found on Craig's List. My landlords are slow about doing stuff for us. As long as we get the rent paid on time they don't care about anything else. Well, I am starting a list of things that need to be down around here. The apartment next door to us has been empty since July 2010. It was a mess and they took their time about cleaning it up. In February of 2011 they finally started cleaning it out and remodeling everything. I told them I could use new carpet, since they were redoing the carpet next door. I finally got it!

Ashlynn went home with Aunt Patsy on Sunday, after Adrian's baseball game. On Wednesday she came to stay with mamaw for a few days. It was sort of a surprize cause Ashlynn didn't even know that she was staying with me. We really had a good time, watching the CMT awards, she has Bieber Fever. Eating popcorn, playin games like Connect 4 and Battleship (she cheats).
