Next Projects

Starting another project. He has good ideas, but it just takes so long for him to imagine , design, create and then build. But with what, only the best and has to be done right.
This was where the little rocks were and the bottom of the back porch (right in front of the grill). He now wants a boardwalk. I just let him go, gets him out of the house and he's not bothering me. It took a whole week to build cornhole boards, anyone wanna guess on how long this project will take. He just started this 4/30/2010.

Jeremy is out skateboarding with friends. He is always gone until it gets dark. Then it's time for mom to know where he's at. Can't watch his every move, but I'm trying and it's really hard. He's 15 yrs old now. He does what he wants most of the time, until he wants something then he has to work for it. Like a new skateboard. Scott had him sand and stain the boards for the New Boardwalk. Jeremy sanded an old skateboard down and got some new grip tape for it and it looks just like new.

This is Ashlynn and Alden in the backyard. They were actually being good and sharing. Bubbles always does the trick.

Can you believe this thing is real. It's a set of Catus that Candace got Scott for fathers day last yr. It had a fake flower on top of this little one and I thought it was a fake Catus. Well guess again. It has a new blooming flower on it. He's waters it everytime he waters the rest. It never got any bigger, guess we need to transplant them.
Well the kids have baseball tomorrow. Ashlynn at 10am and Adrian at 2pm. It suppose to rain though, so it might get rained out. I know last Saturday was a lllloooonnnnngggg day. Guess I'd better start drinking before the games. LOL Just kidding, I don't drink, much. LOL.

Cornhole Boards Done

Well look at this, the Cornhole Boards are DONE! And how long did it take him, let's not say.

He started these last Thursday (4/22/2010) and after a week they are finally done. Just need to put myself to work at make some new bags.
My dad was up from Georgia last Thursday also. He doesn't come up much. Didn't even come to Tabetha/Daniel's wedding, said it was suppose to snow. WELL IT DIDN'T! I didn't even know he was coming up here, until word of mouth got around. Shelia, was watching her grandkid for a week, while her son went on vacation and my dad was going to help my sister paint her new house. But the closing didn't go though and she is still looking.
Haven't really done much this week, it's been chilly and rainy. Today wasn't so bad though, think it got up in the 70's.

Had the cats outside on their leashes the other day and Scott decides that the birds needed some food. Not a good idea while the girls are outside. Had to buy new leashes cause Sneakers took off after a bird and came to a dead stop. She couldn't go as far as she wanted to. They sit in the windows and watch everything that is going on outside. I love my babies.

This is a picture of the moon last night (4/28/2010). It was really neat looking and just thought I'd share it with you all.

Building New Cornhole Boards

Scott started making Cornhole boards, last Thursday and he's still not done with them. He promised Tabetha and Daniel a set for there wedding present. He had enough to make 2 sets. They are not all the way put together yet, nor are they painted. It took him all day to build these things. He probably took about 2 hrs to figure out how he wanted to make them, probably another hour to get all the tools out and set up.

They look really good the way they are. Just need to stain them and whala. We do play alot, especialy when it's warm and all the kids are here. Which they will be here alot in the next couple months, due to Baseball games.

Baseball Season

Well it's baseball season again. Yesterday (Saturday, 4/24/2010) was the opening games. Guess what? Ashlynn is playing this year on T-Ball, so now we have twice as many games to attend(Yippie). She actually did a good job. She's the one in the Pink, and she looks so cute. When she got to bat she hit the ball on 2 occasions, 1 time she had to use the t-ball holder. She had to run after the ball and when she got it in her hand she just turned around and SMILED and then raised her hands in the air ( so they will stop the play).
Adrian is also very good and he pays attention most of the time. He likes to try different positions, which he is good at any position. I think he's the best hitter on team.

Their team names are the CUBS, yeah both teams are the cubs. Candace made the sign. Oh and I kept score for Adrians team. No one else knew how or either they didn't want to do it. I did a good job at keeping score, up until the end of the game. I couldn't keep track of what was going on and the coaches were mad at each other and changing rules to save their butts. Score 5-10 (not Cubs favor). I was getting frustrated and ready to hand the book over to someone else. No one in dugout unless you are a player or team coach. I had this one little girl, with her nose stuck up her #%&. She wouldn't listen to no one, until coach said something to her, but then she would try to sneak in. By the end of this game I was ready for a drink. Not kidding! It was a LLLooooonnnnngggg day. Ashlynn's game was at 10 am and Adrian's game was at 2pm. We all went home in between games. They also had to be at the ball diamond an hour early for each cause of pictures. LLLLooooonnnnnggggg day!
Until next time, hope all is well.

Fun Times

Last weekend(Saturday) Brian cut some neighbors trees down and the kids came over here and Papaw had them over at the park. Alden loves to go to the park, it is the first thing he does, looks for papaw and points and says Park. On Sunday I went and helped Tabetha/Daniel get some stones for her landscaping. Scott and Jeremy went out to Davids and got home on Sunday and I forgot to tell him that the kids were coming over. He called me after awhile to see when I would be back from Tabetha's. When I got home they weren't around, I had to call him to find him. But they ended up at the Park.
We went to Candace and Brians on Saturday the 17th. They had a cookout and invited everyone out. We went fishing and had a bonfire. Everyone was there, Tabetha, us of course, Jeremy, Richand and Lou with Tristan, Patsy and Joe, with some friends of theirs. It was a really nice time. Daniel didn't go this time he was go-carting, but I bet he had fun also.
Jeremy caught the biggest fish and Candace caught the smallest (which they used for bait). And of course Alden was a big help with the fire. Yeah, he can really lift that big ole log. He was the last one to touch it before it went dead. But luckily Tabetha and Candace fixed it. That is Scott's #1 tool at work. LOL

Computer Problems

Brian and Chad were cutting a couple trees down for one of our neighbors. I could hear the chipper truck and the trees falling. Candace and the kids came over around 4:00pm. Candace had her side of the family over for late Easter dinner (Her dad and grandparents). Later on Tabetha came over with Max.

OMG, I lost everything on my computer yesterday. Had it on and went to clean Jeremy's bedroom again and when I went back down stairs, the computer was completely down. Nothing. I didn't know what to do except cry. I worked on it all afternoon. Finally Tabetha and Candace put their heads together and step by step got me back up and running again. I am sssoooooooo greatful. This computer is my life, I go crazy without it, cause I do so much on it, I do everything on it. Needless to say I wasn't in a very good mood all afternoon. Just worried about my computer and what I was and needed to do.

Thank you sssooooooo much Tabetha and Candace. If you only knew, and these girls know.

Girls Night Out!

We had girls night out last night. It was me, Tabetha, Lujuana, Candace and Grandma Sandy. We started out at Oriental Buffet for dinner, of course CRAB LEGS (all you can eat). They were little legs, but still good. YUMMMMM!!! The girls couldn't believe that was all I was eating (crab legs). I think they are Snow Crab Legs, but I don't care they are good and I don't get them very often, so when I do I eat 'em up. Me and Lou were tearing them up, the other girls couldn't get the leg to crack right and said it was a waste of time. OH! Candace got her mussells, all different kinds of them. Dinner was good and the conversation soon had to wait until we got to the TRUCK. We had to explain to Grandma what "Wait til we get to the TRUCK" meant. For those who does not know what it means, it means we have spotted someone or something around us and we need to talk about it, but it's usually not nice what we have to say. See we can't keep it to ourselves and we certainly can't whisper and we always end up laughing out loud. So now we always say "Wait til we get to the TRUCK". You know sometimes it doesn't wait til the truck and we could get ourselves into some trouble.

After dinner we headed over to Expo Bowl. Yes we went bowling. Grandma Sandy didn't stay for the bowling.
Check this out.
We all had flower clips in our hair and we really looked good out there on the alley. Non of us did very good, but we sure had fun. We were people watching and talking, some things were not waiting until we got to the TRUCK!!! LOL.
The guys went to David and Lisa's, out at Rushville for the weekend. They haven't been out there in quite awhile. They are going to JD's meat market and going golfing. Jeremy love's it out there. He does everything out there from take out the trash to riding the plow tractors. Yes I said take out trash, only because he get to ride the gator. He just has fun out there. Which hopefully will mean a quiet and peaceful day for me. Yeah!

Well until next time, hope all is well.

Cat Walk

First, It's Tabetha's Birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TABETHA! We are having a girls night out on Friday to celebrate. I believe the plans are to pig out on Crab Legs at Oriental Buffet on the south side, YUM, can't wait. Then we are off to the bowling alley for a few games and DRINKS. We aint out to get drunk, to just to have a good time together. It doesn't matter what we do, we always have a good time.
Look here! I caught Snuggles hanging out at the front door. She was standing of the bar of the door and was looking out the window. She looked so cute with the wind blowing her furr. They both love getting up in the windows, especially if they are open.
We took the cats out in the back yard for a walk. Bad mistake, they didn't want to come in and they meowed at the door for about an hour.

It was such a nice day and I wanted them to at least experience the outdoors. Sneakers loved it, tried really hard to get away. Snuggles just slowly crept around. Scott thought it was kinda of silly at first, but you see he is holding a leash. I just don't want them to run away.
Oh by the way Thank you Tabetha for selling me camera, it is great, I love it. Tabetha got a new camera for her Birthday so I bought her other one. So guess what better camera, maybe better pictures.
Well, until next time, hope all is well.

Easter Sunday

Well it was Easter Weekend and I hope everyone had a great Easter.
We went over to Tabetha and Daniel's. Everyone was there. Grandma Sandy, Candace/Brian and the kids and Chad, Lou/Richard and Tristen and then after dinner Lou's son Richy came over. Dinner was very good. Everyone pitched in and brought something and it all tasted very delicious. We had Ham, corn, rolls, potato salad, corn casserole, deviled eggs, salad with all the fixins veggies and dip, cookies, birds nest(?), cupcakes, 3 layer Angle food cake, I hope I didn't leave anything out.
The kids were so excited. Tabetha hid eggs around her yard. She didn't think she'd be able to cause all she has is grass, no shrubs or flowers yet. Adrian and Jeremy had the front yard, Ashlynn and Alden had the back yard.

We ate around 2:00pm. and the table was nicely set.
After dinner we all just sat around and played games. Had to rest our bodies after eating such a terrific meal. First we played that game catch phrase, that way we didn't have to move too much.
Brian and Daniel took on Richard and Richie in a couple games of cornhole. Not sure who won, really didn't pay attention to it very much. The girls just sat around and talked (as usual).
Everything was nicely done, Oh even the front porch.
The flowers you see here were stolen from MY front porch on Friday night. I really didn't notice them missing over the weekend, it rained on Saturday and we didn't go anywhere. But when I got over to Tabetha's, I thought to myself, those orange tulips look familiar. Yeah! They should they were mine to begin with. She had been trying to get them for a couple weeks and I wouldn't let her have them. Not only did she take the tulips, she took the pots I had them in also. I took them back home with me. LOL.

Well anyways, Thank you to Tabetha and Daniel for having everyone over, it was very nice.
Until next time, hope all is well.
