Oh Yeah Another Cookout

Labor Day...
We spent the day out at Candace/Brian's house. She wanted to have a cookout, but it turned into a bakeout. She was fixing chicken and wanted to grill it. Well she cleaned the grill and couldn't remember how some of the peices went back on. So she decided to bake the chicken instead and it was just as good. She didn't want to see what happened the last time she cooked out on the grill. The whole grill caught fire. She made baked beans, corn, potatoe salad (not mine), veggies and fruit. Tabetha brought the left over deserts from her cookout that was on Saturday. Nothing got wasted and it's always better the second time around.

Adrian was the first one to come and meet us in the driveway. He had been waiting on Jeremy for awhile. Tyla went with us and of course Ashlynn was keeping track of her. Jeremy and Tyla took Adrian, Ashylnn, Alden and Jasmynn down to the creek. They were just exploring around in the water. Jeremy found a piece of snake skin and some acorns.

This is a Live-4-ever blooming. It had bees all over them last year and this year Candace transplanted them away from the house. The are now covered in butterflies. I bet there was a butterfly on each of the blooms.

Grandma Sandy came out, Patsy and Joe were there too.
Played a couple games of cornhold and then there was a New game this time, it was kickball
Last time we played volleyball. It was just as good. Boys against the girls and there were more girls then boys. The boys won 2 games to nothing. But they had fun and I think everyone was involved. From the players to the audience. LOL the boys were really kicking it hard and it was going over the girls head. Even when the ball came right to them they still couldn't catch it. They were arguing about the score, argueing about the rules, boundries were outrageous. But it was still fun to watch.

Alden was showing Jasmynn how to fish. These two were so much to fun to watch. They would get soooo excited over catching a little blue gill. OH OH OH then HEHEHE then it was followed by help me papaw. The fish weren't bitting today, but the blue gills.

I guess the plan for the day was to dunk JoAnn in the pool. Well, they tried. Tried 3 different times. She kept bouncing off the side, they never did get her in the pool. I think Daniel finally was helping and instead got Candace in the pool. She had a nice black summer dress on before they started playing kickball, she went in to change. Told Candace she couldn't wear a black bra with a white tank top, especially when wet. LOL
Well until next time, hope all is well and safe...

Tabeth/Daniel's Cookout

Here we go!
On our way to Tabetha/Daniel's house for a cookout.
Tyla went with us. We left around 4:00pm cause Scott was bored and ready to go. The cookout didn't start until 5:30pm. So we are a little early, oh well... Even the host/hostess weren't even there. They had left to pick up some last minute things and was getting ice. The only one home was Max and he couldn't let us in and I couldn't let him out. He was going nuts, barking. I brought him some rawhide treats, that I had had for about a month. Stacey had given them to me for Max cause her dog only get the big huge bones. Oh well, Max loves them, thanks Stacey.

Everyone came. Aunt Lisa and DeAndrea, with a friend of his. Grandma Sandy, Grandpa Mike, Candace/Brian, JoAnn, Ray and all the grandkids, Alden, Ashlynn, Adrian, and Jazmynn. I didn't see Ashlynn for about half hour after she arrived, cause she loves Tyla. Daniel's dad, Dan and Jo came and even a few of Tabetha/Daniel's friends came. I am not good with names so I can't name them all off. I know there was a girl named Abby, she just had a baby 8/9 days ago, and her husband. The best man from the wedding and someone remembered me from the wedding as the HulaHoop Queen, with a close second by the Daniel(the groom). He said who could forget that hip action.
We had hamburgers, brauts, hotdogs, chips, baked beans, Mac/cheese, corn, rolls, chips, cookies, brownies, Banana Nut bread, some sort of pie, fruit, veggies, drinks, just about everything you could think of we had. Me and Tabetha were making her a list together.
Alden had to sit by Papaw while they ate. He loves his papaw.
Jeremy and Tyla took all the kids to the park for the longest time. But it was nice and we knew where they were. Played cornhole, and the kids played what was suppose to be touch football (at least no one got hurt).
We have another cookout on Monday out at Candace/Brian's in Brownsburg...
Until the next time, hope all is well and safe...

The secret is out

Well it's not a secrete any more...

This little girl is my adopted grandchild, Jazmynn. She is Brian's sister Karen, little girl. JoAnn, (which is Brian and Karen's mother) is taking care of her at this time. She has been taking care of this little girl for a year now. Karen gave her up, to her mother. She couldn't take care of her, nor did she want to. Candace and Brian tried to adopt her from Karen, but she didn't let that happen and Jazmynn was taken away from us. I had not seen her since July/August of 2009. Candace/Brian and the kids all went to Florida to see her (that is where she was living) back in February.

But the first of August they came back to Indiana. I was so happy and anxious to see her. The day they came back in to town I had to drive out to see her and JoAnn, and of course all my grandbabies. I'm always glad to see them. Alden, Ashlynn and Adrian were swimming when I arrived, so they didn't even know that I was there. After about 1/2 hour they came to the door to get a towel, and I gave it to them. They were so surprised to see me. Started yelling Mamaw, mamaw. Even Snap the dog didn't know I was there. Alden wanted to know where Papaw was, I told him he was at home, that he didn't want to come out this time. Alden told me to go get Papaw... He loves his Papaw...
No one was to know that they were in town, due to the fact that Karen was trying to get Jazmynn back and she would try anything. We didn't want anything to happen to Jazmynn so we kept it a secret for awhile. BUT she does know and is threatening the family with kidnapping. She is really out of her mind. JoAnn has papers to prove her having custody of Jasmynn until CERTAIN TERMS were met. Those terms were never kept by Karen. She needs to be placed with someone she knows, someone she can trust, someone who's FAMILY, someone she LOVES and they LOVE her back = Candace/Brian and the kids...
Until next time... hope all is well and be safe...

Concerts Galore

We went to the TobeyKeith/Trace Adkins concert.

JoAnn had never been to a concert of any sort, so Candace thought it would be nice to take her to one... Girls Night Out!!! We got stuck in the back seat, which was alright, cause we had access to the trunk. We did bring a little achaule with us and we were just testing it...LOL Little swig of apple pucker never hurt no one...

Once we got there we had a drink and went up to some Ford truck and sang Kareoke "Who's your Daddy". It was just going to be Candace and Tabetha singing, but ended up dragging me and JoAnn up there too...It was great, got FREE Tobey Keith t-shirt.

This is our little tailgate party bar...It was the trunk of Tabetha's car...we were really not out for getting drunk tonight, just to have a good time.

We met up with Candace's Uncle Mike and Aunt Darla and their son, while we were waiting for the gates to open... they sent their son ahead to the gate, to save place in line so we could get good lawn seats.

There was guys walking around asking for tickets. Do you know that Mike and these guys started talking about things and the next thing we know we see ASSES. Yeah bare asses (not at all cute either) they had thier asses tattooed with Wolves. There were five guys in this pack but we only got a glimps at 2 of them...

Ashlynn went to her first concert...Her first Girls Night Out...She went to Justin Beiber concert with Candace and Tabetha. She has all his T-Shirts and now she has him on her ass... She is like really crazy over this kid. Knows every song he's sings word from word.
Are you kidding me...got the hair done, nails done, got the shades on listening to Justin Beiber cruising down the road with my private chouffer...(Tabetha and her New car)
Waiting for Justin to come on stage with Mom (Candace) and Aunt Tabbi.

Finally hitting the stage and she is all over it... and it was nothing else to Ashlynn. She had such a good time, signing and waving and yelling at the top of her lungs...

Even the ride home was Justin Beiber... her eyes are closed but she is still singing.

Well until next time, hopefully it wont be such a long time before my next post... take care...

Something New!!!

Tabetha got a new car...It is a Pontiac GT 8...
She had to stop and get gas before she could drive it home. She said it was sitting on EMPTY...

I had to follow her home cause she didn't have a license plate. But she did have the receipt from the bank and the title. We just didn't want to get pulled over. Cause believe me she is a fast driver to begin with and now she'll be even faster. Now all she needs is new plates and transfer insurance and she can drive legally...
It is Black exterior and Black interior with seat trimming in Red. Power everything, even Heated seats in the front. Has ON STAR and it actually works, they hit the button on accident. But I guess that is one way of finding out. There are so many gadgets in this car it'll take her awhile to figure out where everything is.
Well until next time, hope all is well and safe...

Tristans Birthday now

Party time for Tristan...
This is Lujuanna. She has 3 boys Robby (21), Richie (18) and now Tristan (1). She is a close neighbor and friend of mine. Robby is in the military, Richie not sure what he does, nothing at this time. Although he did the cooking on the grill, or at least he cooked his and ate then took off. We just had hamburgers and hot dogs, bake beans, green beans, pasta salad, and devil eggs, and of course the cake.

Tristan turned a 1 yr old. Lou had a party for him with all the trimmings. The cake was Winnie the Pooh and was made from cupcakes.
This is Lujuanna's mom, Tristan's grandma. She spoils him rotten (But doesn't all grandma's).

He really loved the cupcakes. Candace gave him a chocolate one and a vanilla one. He ate (smeared) the icing off the tops and didn't really want the cupcake itself (typical for a kid).
Well until next time, hope all is well and safe...

Lazy Saturday

The grandkids were here on Saturday. Adrian had an AllStar tournament and they won there first game, Thanks to Adrian. He caught the last popfly out and won the game with a 1 point lead.
Ashlynn thought she was going to play Euker with us, but didn't happen. This girl has to be doing something all the time and into everything she's not suppose to be in, but gotta LOVE her. I gave her and Alden some paper and they were fine. We drew pictures and made paper airplanes. Papaw made one and I made one, mine went the furthest and flew the best. But they were content for awhile, at least while we played cards for a bit. I think we play 3 games. It was girls against the guys and the guys won 2 games and we were done with that. The kids wanted to go outside.
After the breeze started blowing and I got cold sitting inside (cause of air conditioner). Alden was trying to fix the umbrella to the table. The crank on it had broken off and we are using a lock wrench to crank it. He was actually sitting on the table. Never did get it fixed. He found a hammer and started working on the deck (which did not need fixin). This boy is very distructive and the expressions on his face are priceless.

Papaw gave Alden some wood to bang on. He was getting so excited cause he was splitting the wood. Then the bigger boys came out and had to try too. They each got a hammer and we had a hammer of every size. Heavy for Jeremy, medium for Adrian and light for Alden.
I have been trying to get a pic of Adrian from when he fell into the firepit, while we were camping. It has healed alot, but think it may leave a scar. The burns on his arms were gone, but still had a place on his right hand.

Papaw watered the flowers and his little garden this evening. He puts MiracleGro on them.
While he was watering the rest of us were sitting on picnic tables chatting and watching the boys hammer the wood. We were chattin about BEER Bellies, and just then papaw turned around and said "Huh, what?" Like we were talking about him or something. But it was prefect timing.
Well until next time, hope all is well and safe...
