Memorial Day Weekend

Oh my goodness it was such a long weekend. Scott got home from Terre Haute early Friday, so we went to lunch at Waffle N Steak. Then we were off to PetSmart for some new fish. Not really sure home many he ended up getting, but there was one that was called a Dalmatian and yes it looks cool.

Cookout at Candace/Brian's house on Saturday. She was having another yard sale for the little Miss Indiana Supreme Beauty Queen Ashlynn. Her next pageant is in St. Louis Missouri sometime in July...Miss Ashlynn will be representing Indiana in this Pageant, it's a National Pageant. The day was really nice weather wise. We had hamburgers and hotdogs, baked beans, corn on the cob (which we forgot to fix), and my homemade Potato Salad. Although it wasn't really a cookout, we started the grill and it ran out of gas so I ended up cooking on the stove, and called it a cookin. Played volleyball, girls against the guys. I didn't play the first game, but then Tabetha had to leave and I had to take her place. We spent the day in Brownsburg and didn't get home until around 8:00 pm.

Sunday was the Indianapolis 500. Scott wasn't feeling well (wonder why). Candace and the kids came over and we tried to have another cookout. Yeah tried, I started my grill to get it heated up. NO gas, had to cook chicken in the oven, but it turned out alright. We just had left overs from Candace's cookin. Chicken, Baked beans, corn on the cob (Alden helped me shuck the corn), and more potato salad.

Monday-Memorial Day, was very quiet. Jeremy had a Veterans Service to attend for the ROTC at school. He had to be at school at 7:30am and was done around 12:00pm. Tabetha came over for a few hours, and we went to Walgreen's and Meijers. Daniel went riding on his bike with his dad. We actually had a Cookout. We found another tank on another grill so Scott exchanged it and we were go to go. Hamburgers, more corn on the cob, baked beans and potato salad. Even had a watermelon. It was all good. Always taste better on the grill.

Well until next time, hope all is well and be safe in your journeys:)

Beautiful Day

It was a relaxing day! It was a beautiful day, spent most of the day outside and moving the plants outside. Even the cats enjoyed the weather, they were in and out all day.
After school we took Jeremy to the License Branch so he could take a Learners permit test. Sorry to say he didn't pass it. Missed 4 of the signs and was only allowed to miss 2. Better luck next time.
Well Adrian was suppose to have a baseball game tonight, but it was cancelled cause the other team didn't show up. So I guess you could say they won that game. He also has another game on Saturday morning at 10:00. He is stayed all night with us so I could take him to the game on Saturday. Brian had to work and Candace was taking Ashlynn to Pageant in Columbus Ohio. Tabetha was going with her, as well as Karen and Jazmynn. Karen wants to get Jazmynn into the pageant scene, so she is going to see what it is all about.
Scott works out of town in Terre Haute and he usually leaves on Monday and comes home on either Thursday or Friday night. Well this week I had a surprize for him when he got home. Our landlords came over to fix some stuff around the house and asked if I wanted a big screen TV, 60". Well what do you think, YEAH!!! I asked my brother to help me with getting it from landlords house to my house. Come to find out, as we are on our way out to go get the tv Scott is calling and saying he was on the road and on his way home. We got that TV in place and everything cleaned up before he got here. And YES he was surprized and he really likes it. Thank you John and Betty.
Well until next time, hope all is well and be safe in your journeys!

Yard Sale Weekend

We/I had a yard sale to raise money for Ashlynn to go to St. Louis, Missouri in July. In March she was in competition as Little Miss Brownsburg for the state of Indiana. She was crowned Miss Indiana Supreme Beauty Queen and now represents the State of Indiana in the National Dream Girl U.S.A. pageant in St. Louis.

The yard sale went from Thursday - Saturday. Made some money for my beautiful grand daughter. The weather was great, if was an usually warm week for us in Indiana. But then on the weekend, of course the cooler weather came back. Thanks to everyone who donated items to the yard sale, it was greatly appreciated.
Scott took Alden out to the Air Show. Said he had a really great time. Watching all the airplanes and all the excitement out there. They left around 11:30am and didn't return home until after 6:00pm. If you look real close the picture to the left you'll see 3 of the 6 Blue Angels. They were flying right over the house and very loud. Scott said that when they first arrived at the show 1 of the Blue Angels flew over and scared Alden, but after he knew what had happened and getting some ear plugs he was alright and loved it. Jeremy went with them. They all had a good time and was exhausted when they got home. Alden was passed out in his seat when they arrived home. So cute:) Thanks papaw for taking Alden to the air show:)
Adrain had another baseball game and won yet another game. I don't go to to many games, cause I get frustrated with the whole game. Besides he plays better when I'm not there the whole time. They always stop by the house and tell me the score. He'll come running in with high fives and they have only lost one game out of 4 or 5. The Cubs are doing a great job, keep up the good work boys. And to the TEAM MOM, keep them boys in line and don't let them over power you, make them sit down and listen, maybe they pay some attention to the game.

Candace and Brian met up with Tabetha and Daniel at our house. There were all going to the Jason Aldean concert on Saturday night. They all said it was a good concert. Although it was raining here when they left and it only sprinkled a little they said at the concert. We had overcast skies all day, not sure what they would have done if concert was a total wash out. I know I'm not going out there and sitting in the rain for no concert. It would be very bad experience.

Until next time hope all is well and be safe in your journeys:)

Mother's Day

We started Mothers day out by stopping by Grandma Ann's (Scott's mom). She was looking pretty good and we sat around and just talked for awhile.
Tabetha and Daniel sent me this via facebook. They were in San Diego, Ca. Daniel's brother Denny lives there with his new wife Sonia. They are both in the military.

Then it was out to Brownsburg. Candace and Brian had a great cookout. The weather was beautiful, not too cold and not too hot, it was just right, and the food was delicious. Crablegs for appetizers,
and then Porkchops on the grill and baked potatoes, corn, greenbeans, baked beans, salad and 2 different cakes. It was all very good.

The kids were on there way back from playing in the woods. They had went down to the creek to do some exploring. They were all carrying something, and Ashylnn was of course in a skirt with no shoes.

These are solar flowers that dance when in bright light. The kids really liked these. I got one from Candace/Brian and the kids and the other I got from Karen and Jazmynn. They all started playing volley ball and these 2 were trying to cheat each other at keeping score.
And yes the kids were playing in the mud puddle again and they were all muddy and wet. Guess what they had to get sprayed off with the hose before taking a bath.

Alden decided after getting somewhat clean, he needed to take a break. He is/was butt naked and it didn't even bother him.
Another great weekend with the kids and grand kids. Love you guys...

Well until next time hope all is well and be safe in your journeys...
