Visit from the Grandkids

The little RugRats (that's what papaw calls them) come over today. They wanted to play in the snow with Jeremy. He just took them down by the bridge. They weren't outside very long, but I guess it was long enough.

Alden really wasn't dressing for playing in the snow, but we got him some extra socks and put plastic bags on before puttig on his shoes.

Ashlynn decided my hair needed some fixing. She was making a mess of it, that's for sure. Was trying to pull a toothed headband through my hair. Then it was on one side and then she decided to put her little clips in my hair. She was having fun and actually being quiet.

She really couldn't do much with my mess. Gotta love her, gotta love them all...

Well until next time, hope all is well and be safe in your journeys...

Christmas Day events

Our Christmas Day started around 8:00am... We had to wait for Jeremy to get home from working (shoveling snow). While we were waiting the cats got into their stockings. Catnip mice and yummy treats. They were throwing those mice everywhere and rolling over top of them, it was funny...
Jeremy got some new clothes, that actually fit him. Tabetha/Daniel got him a stereo and Candace/Brian got him a new Cell phone...Thanks alot girls. Although he hasn't asked to use our phones, nor are we getting his friends calls...
The kids had to wait til the big present was opened. The had come in yelling lets open, lets open... The big one was a New kitchen table and chairs. I was really surprised by that. Some one had mentioned that the one had was wobbly. But no one wanted to tighten the screws.
Jasmine didn't know what to think of all this, but she had so much fun. She got a laptop computer that tells and shows her ABC's with sounds and words that she can spell out.
Alden got and New fishing pole, A Mickey Mouse fishing pole that when your reeling in a fish the handle lights up. The big smile on his face was great... He always likes to go fishing with Papaw...
Adrian wanted a BB Gun, so him and Jeremy could shoot them when they get the chance. This one is the real Red Rider BB gun, the one that Adrian saw in the movie "A Christmas Story" We even tried to get the kids to stick their tongues on a pole across the street at the park, NONE of them would do it...
Ashlynn wanted this Baby Alive Feel Better Baby... she kept insisting that Santa will find it at Walmart. Well Walmart, Kmart nor Target carried this baby. Santa=I=Me had to go to Toys R Us, and it was on a Sunday... Anyone that knows me, knows that I don't shop. I shop online and get it delivered or I go in get what I want/need and get out. Well let me tell you that this was one of those times. We (I took Jeremy with me) went in got the baby, paid and walked out. No lines, or anything. They must have known I was coming...LOL
I think Tabetha and Daniel had more fun with Alden's race track. Which it was pretty cool...
Tabetha got a New mixer. Can't wait to see what she mixes up next. Daniel got a gift card, so he could get whatever he needed/wanted. Never know what to get him, I think he liked it...
Finally got Candace and Brian and their crew together. Had to drag the kids from their toys. Candace wanted a Care Package, so I made her a basket of cleaning supplies. Brian isn't picky, he got a lined flannel shirt w/hood and I also found 3 Jim Beam Bottles for him. He collects them, not too sure how many he does have.
Patsy and Joe even came by. It is very rare you get these 2 together and smiling.
As the day ends and the thought of taking down the tree is in my head, but I'll wait. It does and did come down on December 26Th. All taken down and pack away for another year.
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Hope that the New Year brings Happiness, Peace and Joy
Until next time, hope all is well and be safe in your journeys...

Christmas Eve

It's the day before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse (cause I have cats)LOL.
The guys have gone shopping. As they do every year.
We went over to see Grandma Ann. She was very happy to see us.
This year Scott is making the Christmas dinner (this will be interesting). At Thanksgiving, he made the mistake of saying that cooking a special dinner wasn't that hard, well it's time for him to find out. I'll let you know how it turns out. LOL
Made fudge a couple weeks ago, snowflake cookies yesterday and today I might make some brownies (with and without walnuts).
Going to moms (Grandma Sandy's) later this evening. We have always gone to Grandma's house Christmas Eve. Even when I was little we were at Grandma and Grandpa Slifers for Christmas eve. Going to be fun, all the kids and grand kids and great grand kids will be there this year.
Christmas day will be spent at home, it is every year. The kids and grand kids will be here around 2:00. Mom also comes over for dinner. Just hope we don't get all the snow they say we are suppose to get. Anywhere from 2-5 inches, and it's coming during the over night hours. You know every one wants SNOW for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!!! It's white now and we have enough of it, not going away too soon either. Expecting more snow at the end of the week.

Oh yeah! Got a new Camera for Christmas, got it early, so I can take pictures of our festive events.
Well until next time, hope all is well and be safe this Holiday Season...

Week before Christmas

Well, it's the week before Christmas and not done shopping yet. Never fails we always wait til the last minute. It's a little more fun and excitement all in one. Was going to say, Don't spend as much money either, but not so sure about that.

Jeremy is out of school for Christmas break, 2 weeks. Goes back on January 3, 2011. Hope he does better next year/semester, than he did this semester. On and off with girlfriends. Never know who it is from week to week. LOL... He's made a few bucks this winter season so far. Been shoveling and putting down salt over at the dentist office (Kenneth & Mathew Miller, father/son). They also own a small apartment complex in our neighborhood. Mr. Kenneth Miller is married to our State Senator, Mrs. Pat Miller.

The girls and families are doing fine. Although heard that Ashlynn has been sick again. I guess for about 3 days now. Alden had a touch of sickness, but nothing can hold him down. Adrian is doing well. Wanted to play in the snow before school the other day. But mom wouldn't let him, due to he would be wet all day at school, and then he'd be sick.
Scott is back working in town now. He was working in Terre Haute. Would leave on Monday morning and then come back home on Friday for the weekend. Now that he's in town, he's home every night. Now I have to cook again. Was use to not cooking, cause it was just me and Jeremy and we usually just fixed something whenever.

Sorry no pictures this time. My camera sort of bit the dust. I need a new camera, if anyone is interested...

Well until next time, hope all is well. Have a Happy Holiday!

Tis the Season

Yeah, it's Christmas Time and the snow is here to prove it.... The tree is up and ready. Just need to get out and go shopping, LOL. My least favorite thing to do...still 3 weeks til Christmas, plenty of time I hope... I love the season, but being holly jolly isn't going to happen... BaHumbug. I'll let you know when all the shopping is done, which won't be too soon, but hopefully it will happen.
Until next time, hope all is well and be safe this Holiday Season!

Night Before Thanksgiving

It's the night before Thanksgiving and I am doing nothing. Candace is making dinner this year:) so we are going to Brownsburg. All I was asked to bring was some Devil Eggs (and that is already done). Love seeing grand kids on their turf, cause it's less hectic. I'll have pictures so check back with me.

Tabetha/Daniel are doing alright. They are going to Connersville, Indiana. That is where Daniel's family is from. They go there every year and then stop by our house and look at the Black Friday Sales Ads. They always go out real early, (like the rest of those idiots). Only this year Candace and Daniel have to Work, so it's just Tabetha and Brian. Not sure if this years get together is going to happen. I'm sure they will work something out :)

Actually I've been going through my crates and getting ready for December 1st. That's when I start on Christmas stuff. I start putting up on December 1 and it usually takes me a couple weeks to get it all to my liking, and on December 26th everything comes down, all in one day...

Well until next time... Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Not Much Goin' On

I went out the the Farm with Candace and Alden a couple weeks ago. When the weather was in the 70's-80's. The farm is where Aunt Patsy and Uncle Joe live. Candace found a willy worm, a very dark and fuzzy willy worm. Alden wouldn't touch it at first, thought it was going to bite him. The willy worm curled up in a ball and got dropped quite a few times.

Went to the Christmas Gift and Hobby Show with Candace and Tabetha. It was Nov 10-14. We went on a Sunday. I didn't think I'd been before, but after getting there, certain things came back to me. My brother Donovan said we use to go there when we were kids. Oh Well, it was sort of fun. The two little girls went with us. Ashlynn bought a Justin Beiber sign with her name on it and she sat on Santa's Lap. Jazmine wouldn't sit on Santa's Lap, she was throwing a fit over it, she was a little scared.

Miss Ashlynn and her superstar look... She is just too cute. And she loves getting her picture taken, she is such a HAM!!!
Well until the next time, which will be soon. Hope all is well and be safe!

Halloween Pictures

I know it's a little late, but too much to do... We all met at Tabetha/Daniels house for Halloween. They live in a neighborhood with lots of houses. Although we only went around one circle. The kids were getting tired and it was a little chilly out. But we all had fun though. Thanks Tab/Dan for allow us to come over to your house.
Adrian was the Swamp Monster. I think he was the scariest of them all. And he even wore his mask most of the time. Years before you couldn't keep a mask on him. They do get a little hot under them.

Ashlynn was a Princess Jenie. Wouldn't let anyone help her get
her costume on, she wanted it to be a surprize. She looked so pretty.

Alden was a Blue Dinasour. He couldn't wait to put it on after eating his dinner. He was so excited about going out for halloween this year. He would go from house to house saying "Gotta get More" (talking about the candy he was getting). While walking up to the doors, he would turn around and hold up his hand and tell us to wait. Last year he didn't even want to put the costume on.
Jeremy didn't come with us this year, he went tricker treating with his friends.
Max even had his Halloween collar on.
Until next time, hope all is well and be safe.

I have been painting...

Tabetha and Daniel had started painting their house... Well, they don't do paint, so I got a phone call and ended up painting for them.
I started in the Office. I call it Basketball Orange:) This one room took 3 gallons of paint. The paint people didn't tell them that this color was a High Definition paint. It makes a big difference with you are painting with it. Should have been one coat with HD and it was 3 coats with premium. (still a good paint)

The living/dining area were next. Green/Tan.

The stairway was a real pain in the butt. Chocolate Brown. This area took me the longest to do and of course I had a little help...Max had to have a bath.
The bedroom was a gray color and went on really good.
The kitchen is a blueish color with a tint of gray. Really like this color. And Yes I painted behind the refrigerator.
Will keep you updated on the painting as it gets done, still have 1 quest room, workout room, 2/3 bathrooms.

Alden's 3rd Birthday

It was Alden's birthday this time. October 16Th, he turned 3 today. He wasn't feel well either, they took him to the emergency room earlier in the day and he had air in his stomach. I think he just need to burp and poop at the same time...

He wanted Big Trucks and Tractors.
So that started out to be the theme, but that got changed when they went to the party supply store and they didn't have Tractors theme and he saw Thomas the Train and wanted that.
Candace made the cake, she had it all planned out for the Tractor theme and then had to add the Train. So the Train is around the edge with the Big Trucks and Tractors in the middle. She did a really good job on it too.
Tabetha made something called Mud pudding with sour worms in it and then put tractors and dump trucks on top of it. It was all really cute.

Happy Birthday / Happy Anniversary

Yeah, it's been 25 years of marriage to the same one man. We've had our ups and downs, but we ( I ) made it through. Don't know how, but whatever I am doing it is working... Just have to put up with alot of shit and do alot more bitching I guess...

This was us 25 years ago. (From RIGHT to left) Gogi Davis, Maid of Honor, Me, Candace hiding her face, Scott, and Greg Davis, Best Man. We were married at the Justice of the Peace and then went back to our apartment to celebrate with friends.

The girls threw Scott and I a 25Th Anniversary/Birthday Party. It was suppose to be a surprise, but you can't keep nothing from me...I have my ways of finding stuff out :) My mother even had her hand in this. Thanks mom, Love ya...She gave them some pictures of us when we first got married. Oh My!!! We had no idea what was going on, but was told not to plan anything for Oct 2. Then we found out there was a Surprise party for us and it was going to be out at Candace/Brian's in Brownsburg. We got a room at the Comfort Suite, cause I knew I'd be drinking and he always drinks, so wasn't driving home that night. They invited all our friends, some I hadn't seen in years, some I see all the time. We had a BLAST!!! Thanks for everyone who came to the Party!!!
Had a bonfire, and good thing too, cause it was raining before the party and made it chilly out. But the fire kept ya warm. Played a couple games of corn hole.
Time to eat and there was so much food, didn't know where to start...
My sister was even there. I was surprised she came out and I'm glad she did. Love ya...

The girls upgraded out hotel room from a room with 2 queen size beds and a hide-a-bed couch. Well when we got there to check in, I had roses waiting on me at the front desk and then was given our keys. We walked into this beautiful room and it was not the one I had reserved. Was only 1 big bed, small sofa and a Jacuzzi. The girls got there earlier and put rose petals everywhere, and instead for putting champain in the ice bucket, there was 2 pepsi's and a gallon of Captain Morgan (which I drank almost half of it, cause my drinks kept getting spilt or lost).
After the party, Tabetha took us back to the motel. Tabetha and Candace picked us up at the motel when it was time for the party. It was so cute, they both got out of the truck and opened the doors for us, just being our chauffeur...
Then on Sunday we sent back to Candace/Brian's to help with the clean up, (which didn't take long). Then we were off for home to relax and re cooperate...LOL
On Monday the official day, October 4, Miss Luguana took me out for Crab Legs for my birthday. They were sssoooooooo good. I never miss a chance to get Crab Legs. Thanks Miss LU, love ya...
Until next time, which will be real soon, sooner than you think, I hope all is well and be safe...
