HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Tabetha called earlier in the week to see if Scott(daddy) could put in a screen/storm door for them. They bought one and the place where they were buying it from was going to charge them $130 just to install it. Of course she wanted it installed before Saturday, which was Halloween. He did get it in before the tricker-treaters came. He had a hard time with this door. He said he could do, he is a carpenter and works on very expensive homes, you'd think no problem with a door.
Halloween night and the goblins were out. But our goblins didn't get to go out until they ate Pizza. That's what we ordered for supper. Jeremy was an Army guy, go figure. Adrian was a Nija and he really looked good. I couldn't get a picture of him cause he was busy running around from house to house. Ashlynn was a little bit of herself, she was a witch and she really looked cute in her outfit. Alden was a little chicken, literally a chicken, and we all know he's no CHICKEN. He did not want to put the outfit on, he actually did not want to put anything on. Candace finally got him in the outfit and we were on our way down the street. Tabetha walked with us around her neighbor hood. Since we were already there putting in the door, we stayed for the tricker-treating. Alden was getting tired and was slowing down after each house, but he enjoyed his self. We went around one circle of her neighbor hood and then the boys went out with Daniel. He took them around another circle of the neighbor hood. It all started around 6:00pm and we were finished by 8:00pm. We all had fun. The door looks good and Tabetha had alot of tricker-treaters. She wasn't sure what to expect, one of her neighbors said there would be alot of kids. First Halloween in they're first house and it turned out great.
Tabetha and Daniel were going out to a bar after we all left, I hope they had a good time.
Well it's late and until next time, hope all is well.

Pumpkin Carvin

Pumpkin Carvin time. Jeremy carved the biggest of our two. He did a really good job. Not sure what we are going to do with the other one. Maybe nothing. We did the pumpkin seed thing and they were really good. That pumpkin had a lot of seeds, but wasn't messy at all. Which was a good thing since Jeremy had to clean it out. It didn't take him very long at all.

Free Time on the Weekend

Had to go to Brownsburg today to pick up Jeremy. Which I didn't mind because it was so beautiful on the way there and back. The first pictures are from out at Candace/Brian. Those are the kids pumpkins, the ones we got from the pumpkin patch. The leaves are changing and they all look so pretty. I couldn't resist taking pictures of the the trees, from everywhere. Yes I was driving and taking pictures, I did pretty good. Even on the way home. Took the back way home. It was just as colorful. Scott didn't go this time, he stayed home watched the COLTS play and win. I really don't mind the changing of the leaves, but the temperature could sure be a little warmer then what it has been. No Indian Summer as of yet. It won't be long before these trees are covered in white snow. LOL

Free Time, You Betcha

It's been a busy long week. And YES I have alot of free time, I am looking for employment, but I'm not wasting my time just sitting at home. I am making my home better.
Monday, had Parent/Teacher conference and there was no school. Jeremy isn't doing very good in school. We all know he can do the work he just doesn't want to put any effort into doing it his self. Constantly have to be on him to do homework and have sit with him while he does it.
Well on Tuesday I decided to paint. I went down to Meijer's and got some paint. Jack Pot. I got 6 gallons of paint, each a different color. They were mixed wrong and they could only sell them at clearance prices, $2.00 a gallon. I took all they had and then opened them at home to see what exactly I had. I had 2 different colors of white, brownish mauve, butter color, and 2 different colors of green, dark/light. On Wednesday I started painting my kitchen walls the butter color, which really looks good. Candace also stopped by. Alden had a doctors appointment and he also got his flu mist as did Ashlynn. After they left I painted the trim and cabinets the brownish mauve color. I got it all painted and went to get supper, and when I walked in the front door I decided that I did not like the cabinets. I had it all done except for 4 drawer. They were too dark and it made the room too dark. So I repainted the cabinets a white/white and now they look better. I still have to paint the trim in the hallway. Scott wants me to do the living room next, but not really sure what color I want in there, certainly not the greens. I also have to paint a wall in my guest bedroom, which didn't get painted the last time cause I ran out of paint and now this one wall will be my accent wall. Jeremy also wants me to paint his bedroom, but he wants a dark blue. I'll have to see what I can do about that, maybe find some more paint on clearance. I finally almost finished on Friday, but at least I got it cleaned up and it really looks good. Still need to hang my curtains. I think I might try and get some appliance paint so I can do the stove and dishwasher, they are a gold tone color.
Candace/Brian and grandbabies came over on Friday. They had to pick up Ashlynn, which she stayed all night with Aunt Patsy and Uncle Joe. The girl never stays home if she can help it. She just has to ask and say please and she's won your heart. Jeremy went home with them, I guess he's spending the weekend with them. Adrian called me on Thursday to see if Jeremy could come and stay with him. Neither boys had school on Thursday or Friday, due to Fall Break, so they had a 4 day weekend. Jeremy likes going out to Brownsburg and Candace/Brian don't mind it either cause it keeps the kids busy. So after they left around 2:00pm I started cleaning Jeremy's bedroom. I had been telling, telling him to pick stuff up and he kept telling me that it was. Clothes put away, trash picked up, skate board parts and Army stuff, well it wasn't so I had to clean it again. I don't mind cleaning it as long as he would keep it that way, but it never happens. It only stays clean when he's not home.

Ashlynn's Overnight stay

Well after the party on Saturday Ashlynn went home with Aunt Tabi/Daniel to spend the night. Jeremy stayed with Adrian. Then on Sunday we were all going to exchange kids, well Jeremy ended up staying another night with Adrian and Ashlynn is staying with mamaw/papaw. She was caught painting on my computer. Paint is a program that lets you draw and create pictures, just like coloring. Later papaw was getting hungry so we went out to eat @ O' Charlies. I wasn't sure how well Ashlynn would be, but she was really very good. We had our usual Steaks and she had chicken tenders/fries. After we got back home we got the giant blocks out and she played for the longest time with those things, then I went in and we built a little house with a garage and a play ground, all out of giant Lego blocks. She even has cars and little people, oh can't forget the cow we found in the box.
It started getting dark and she thought we should be going to bed. She kept saying she was tired and it was only like 7:30 pm and I knew that if she went to sleep then she would be up really early. Candace called to check on her and I ask her about bed time. Well Candace told me that Ashlynn will go to bed at that time, BUT all she wants to do is watch tv. And I'm not suppose to have cartoons on for her at night or she'll never go to sleep. We will see what happens later, cause I'm not ready for bed right now. She is now taking the cushions off my kitchen chairs, why, I don't know, but it's keeping her busy for awhile.

Alden's Birthday

On Friday, October 16th, Alden turned 2. He was already big now he's getting older. His birthday party was on Saturday the 17th in Brownsburg. Harvest Birthday Party, we had so much fun. We got there early so Papaw Scott could go fishin. He only caught 2 or 3 fish today. Alden loves it when Papaw is fishin, he get so excited. Alden takes him the net so it's easier to get out of the water. Had a big fire going and just sat around it talking and laughing. Everyone came out to the party. Us of course, Tabetha/Daniel, Patsy/Joe, even Joey and Ray, Brandon and Scott, some friends Brian's works with, Todd and Rinker, Oh and Grandpa Mike even came out there. Lou and Richard finally showed up, but at least they showed up which was really nice. Candace made chili and we roasted hot dogs and sausage dogs over the fire, there was all sorts of chips, rice krispy treat, veggies/dip and chili/cheese dip, fruit and of course the birthday cake. Which was really cute.
It had little tractor, scooper truck, and dump truck I think. He couldn't wait to get them off that cake. He got all sorts of different things for his birthday (He's really not into anything specific). Little 4-wheelers cars, Nerf shooting gun, little army men which Adrian got caught playing with, which was alright, I won't tell anyone. He was playing by himself and being very quiet about it. Alden also got a new Bike from Aunt Tabi/Uncle Daniel. It looks like a little motorbike, but with training wheels. Check it out. He still has to have someone push him cause he's not use to the peddles, he wouldn't keep his feet on the pedals, but of course they were pushing him fast than he could pedal. Brian gave the birthday boy a ride on the riding mower and that kids just laughed the whole time. Candace says each kids get to ride when mowing the yard, they have their own little sections.
All-in-all we had a really good time. No one got hurt, well no one that matters. Won't tell you what happened, but it wasn't nice, although he probably deserved it. LOL. Every one was in on it. Well all the boys were in on it, but it was funny what they were doing.
So until next time hope all is well.

Sick Adrian

Yes Adrian is sick. And yes we took him to the ER today. He had tempature of 100.1 all day. He came home sick from school yesterday. Worried it was flu or even worse the H1N1. The ER was crowded and the doctors and nurses were rude at times. While we were waiting Adrian colored a picture, I call it his Hospital Art work. You'd think they'd look at the children and elder first, but they don't they see you as they see fit. They certainly don't get in a big hurry to help you, answer questions, or anything else for that matter. Got at hospital at 10:30 am and walked out around 3:30 pm. We were in the ER waiting room 3 hours before they called on us to go back to see the doctor, then it was another hour and half before the doctor herself came in to check him out. The doctor was only in the room for maybe 10 mins. She said he looked to be alright for now. Gave him some motrin to get the fever down. He was sipping some sprite and eating a few M & M's without getting sick. Everything else that he has eaten or drank has come right back up. I just hate it when one of the babies get sick. They just look so sad and pityful, but they always bounce back and I know that Adrian will bounce back too.

My Pumpkin Display

Oh no, Adrian came home from school today sick. Candace was worried it might be the flu or even worse the h1n1. I Looked it up and he might have flu or he might have just ate something that wasn't right. Not really sure. Poor baby, I feel so sorry for him, he is always getting sick. We found out that he get Migranes and that is what makes him sick most of the time. They ran test and Catscans and now he is already on medication for that. He'll get better I just know he will. Mamaw Loves you Adrain...
I wanted to show you the pumpkins and what I did with them. These are the two pumpkins we have. The little one came from Donovan/Teri's and the other one Jeremy picked out when we went to pumpkin patch. After Tabetha found some hay bales to buy, She bought me one. I decided to decorate a little. Needed something else, so I added some fall flowers and they really look good. . I have no idea where the mummies are coming from. No one ever told me that we lived on a cemetery, although there is the abandoned cemetery across the street at the side of the church.

Not really sure what we are doing for Halloween. It does fall on a Saturday this year. That means a whole weekend with the ghost and goblins that will be out and about. We might go to Tabetha's, but then come back to the bonfire. Have to keep fire going to scare away any evil that may be lurking around.
Until next time, hope everything and everyone is well.

Playtime

The past couple days has been anything excepting relaxing. On Saturday we went to a garage sale and Scott(Homer) bought a new fish tank. We already had one that was 20 gallons, the new one is 40 gallons and sits on it's own stand, corner unit. It looks really cool and everything, but it seem like it took forever to setup. First we put water in it got it all looking good and the filter wouldn't fit, soooo we had to empty the water so we could move it away from the wall a little. Then put water back in and setup the plants. Your suppose to wait 24 hours before putting any fish in, but noooo, he couldn't wait, so he was putting one in at a time. Thought the fish might get stressed out. I'll show you stressed out. It's up and running and we only lost one fish out of 11, not bad.
On Sunday I went out to Brownsburg to deliver a dryer. Candace's dryer heating element went out, we think, I had one in the basement, so I took it to her and it works fine. The kids were all dressed in COLTS. Check them out they are so cute.
These are just a few pictures I took this time. The boys were playing in the back of the truck getting ready to go back by the creek. Alden got mad cause he couldn't go back there with them. We had to keep him busy doing stuff like finding bugs, he had a moth on his finger and was just so excited over it. Then we started putting pine cones in the wheel barrel.

Calm and Quiet

In the past couple days really haven't done much of anything. It has been calm and quiet. Even the construction around here is slacking off. Although they are down at the end working their way up. So far they have put in a sidewalk on our side of US 40/Washington Street (which is south). There are some neat looking brick walls down by Carroll Road and they've even block one street off, by putting in a little tree area. We are suppose to have trees down each side of US 40 and a medium down the middle with trees and lights. I really can't wait to see the results. It is also suppose to take up to 2 years to finish.
It has really turned cold around here. Fall season is nice if only it could be in the 70 degree area and sunny. It's almost too chilly for bonfire. Although on Monday we did have another fire. John (neighbor) came over with his dog Sanders. We just sat around the fire and the guys kept throwing the ball for Sanders to find it. They weren't being fair about throw and fetching. It was more like pretend throw and hide-N-go-seek. But Sanders would find that damn ball every time, even when it got dark. Sanders is a cocker spaniel, white with brown spots and really cute.
Well getting tired and 6:00 am come awful early, especially when you don't get much sleep to begin with. Of course it's my fault. I lay there and watch the Jay Leno show, which comes on at 10:00 pm and then the News, sometimes not all of the news. Then I'm up during the night for no reason, back to sleep and up again at 6:00 am. It just makes for a long day if there isn't anything to do. I have been searching for new employment, with no luck. I have almost given up, but not completely. I just keep trying, cause try is all I can do.
Well until next time, hope all is well.

Pumpkin Patch/Birthday

We had a fun weekend. Saturday me and Homer went out for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel, it was nice and the food was really good. Candace/Brian and grandbabies came over and we went over to Aunt Lisa/Dano's house, Jeremy spent the night with D. Grandma Ann was looking good, but she said she didn't feel well today, having hard time breathing
This is Grandma Ann and the great-grandbabies. She was so excited to see them, it had been a long time since she had. Every one was excited to see them. Lisa showed us the table the Dano is building for her. It really looks nice, she doesn't like the chairs that she bought so she is taking them back and getting a higher back chair.
Oh we went to the Pumpkin Patch. It was cold and windy. We decided not to go out in the patch and pick, but we did pick apples ourselves. We had so much fun in spite of the weather. Bought some pumpkins for the kids and some apple cider, and of course the apples that we picked. They were eating as they were picking.
Even Papaw was caught eating while picking. After the pumpkin patch we all met at our house for a bonfire. Brian had to take some THING and the dog back home. They brought Snapp with them and when we went to the patch the dog got left at my house. While we were gone the dog did a no-no in my hallway. And yes Brian was very mad. He made up for it later.
Aunt Patsy and Brian's brother Ray come down, they are neighbors. Aunt Patsy brought home the grandbabies a bunny rabbit. They love it. Ashlynn wouldn't let the poor thing alone. She just wanted to hold it. We were all afraid it would leap out of her arms and away it would go. She threw a fit when we made her put it in the cage. I sure hope she got better on the way home and the following days.
Tabetha/Daniel came over and brought Max. They had went to the IKea store in Ohio in the morning. They went to buy stuff for the house and drove all the way over there and back and just got a napkin holder. Hope it's a special holder. John and his friend came out to sit by the fire for awhile. John played the harmonica for us. It was a cold night and a good night for a fire.
Oh look at this Alden is bringing mamaw a cake. It's my Birthday/Anniversary. Well actually it's October 4 on both occasions. He didn't want to forgot either one of them dates. I am old enough and been married long enough. LOL. And do you know he dropped it right before he handed it to me. Thank god he's small and the lid was still on because it landed upside down on the ground. But it was still nice and Adrian ate half of it on his own. The whole day was great. Just did a little relaxing on Sunday. The normal stuff, went to breakfast at the Waffle, did a little laundry, watched colts game and nascar race, Homer likes to zap the channels. We are going to Joe's for dinner. I don't have to tell you how much I love that place, only if they'd give a little more. Maybe if I tell them it's my birthday/anniversary they will throw in a little extra. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Lemon and melted butter, OMG!!!
